Red Stripes
Just a little something I happened upon during one of my many walks. My evening course has ended and won't start again untill next year, so finally and hopefully I'll be having lots more time again.

That is gorgeous. Beautiful colours. I especially like the scarlet, Scarlet.
Scarlet: Haha I never even thought of that even though my subconsience surely noticed.
It's gorgeous. I like the way the petals reach out to the edges of the composition.
Scarlet: They were huge. It looked like the petals were to heavy for the poor stem to carry it's own weight or something like that.
A beautiful "little something", Scarlet.
Focus is perfect, and composition is nice too.
Scarlet: Aawh, thank you Ray. Here to lots more 'little somethings' Ray..
Beautiful flower capture well Scarlett
Scarlet: Thanks you so much Vintage.
Great detail in the flower. Background is a bit busy though
Scarlet: It was right next to a cafe terrace so I was quite limited in my angles actually. But it's good that you mentioned it, cos it's something I need to think about as well.
Beautiful and delicate composition. This flower is gorgeous!
Scarlet: Awh, thank you Richard.
Beautiful image Scarlet, the colour is gorgeous.
Scarlet: Thank you Aussie for that nice comment.
A beautiful show flower to wake up to. Very nice!
Scarlet: It is very pretty isn't it? Thank you Mary
Glorious, Scarlet schat. Are you reading this astrid? Enjoy the summer now that your classes have ended.
Scarlet: Dank je wel Chad lieverd. I will definitely enjoy the free time I have now.
Very Dutch
Scarlet: No matter what I do those darn tulips keep creeping back into my sight
So we shall see lots of pictures I hope! Lovely shot Scarlet
Scarlet: Absolutely. I've planned my first little trip already.
Maybe just a wee bit overexposed but still a very good capture.
Scarlet: Mm, I manually adjusted the settings and all b4 I took the shot. Could you give me a bit more info, I love to know so I can learn.
Hi Scarlett. Maybe you could take an extra couple of shots with different aperture settings. Like + or - 1/2 stop or so. Then compare to see which one brings out the tone, color & contrast more. If you shoot RAW you could also play with the curves. But photography is very subjective. The main thing is to enjoy it and if you like your photo then that is all that counts. Cheers!
Absolutely beautiful
This is just beautiful, the stripes are so great, love the DOF.
This looks like someone took a colored pencil and added the stripes, Scarlet. WOW! Good to see you back.
this is beautiful
